SUMI
 
Sumi is the cutest sweetest little guy you can imagine. When you go to pet him he smiles at you ( he really does) and rolls over on his back to get a tummy rub. He is great at training his human. He is good with dogs . He is NOT good with cats. He loves people, going for very slow short walks, tummy rubs, food, tummy rubs and just doing anything where someone is idolizing him. He would make anyone a great companion as long as he can be a couch potatoe. He is not the right dog for someone who wants to go on long hikes etc. If you want someone right there by your chair, bed or wherever you maybe he is perfect. . . He is utd on shots, hw negative and had a dental. He loves everyone but I think due to his size and age ( around 8 to ten years old) no toddlers please. He does have arthritis but still can get around fairly well . He is one of my favorites here!! GORDITO
 
Poor Gordy has had a very rough life. His ears are all eaten by flies, he must have caught his bottom tooth on something and pulled away part of his lower jaw. He is most likely over ten years old. He came here with his friend Coco who is in worse shape. However Gordy is just as cheerful as can be and wanders around investigating everything and then finds the softest bed to curl up on. His teeth need to be cleaned and he needs to be neutered. He is NOT housebroken and enjoys marking his territory right now but is learning what NO means. He loves to go out in the sun and also loves to be held and petted. He is going to get a lot better looking than he is now but I am afraid will be "interesting" looking rather than beautiful. If you want a loving elderly companion and have the compassion to have a very mistreated dog end his golden years in comfort please fill in our adoption application or email merrywinnie@nni.com with questions. COCOA
 
I don't know if sweet little Cocoa even can be adopted yet. She might have diabetes and she is so thin and anemic she needs a lot of tlc here before being ready to leave. We are getting more blood work done next week. She came here with her buddy Gordito, she is about half his size ( around 6 lbs ) is painfully thin but eats up all her meals so I am hoping she will improve over time. If anyone would like to sponsor her please see our Sponsor a Dog page where you can use our PayPal donation button. We expect Cocoa to have substantial medical expenses. Cocoa is not housebroken and will snap if frightened.
GLORIA
When Gloria's saviors first found her she had no hair due to flea allergies, mammary tumors and was a sad looking pathetic little dog. Now she has a beautiful coat, her tumors have been removed and she is just beautiful. She is rather shy, loves to be near her human friends and puts up with all the dogs here. She is not very good with cats. She should be fine with older well behaved children but **NO TODDLERS PLEASE**. Gloria does have dry eyes and needs medicine in them twice a day. She is housebroken as long as she is taken out regularly and will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. She does have separation anxiety in a house where she is by herself. She has been fine here (with tons of other dogs) when I go out though. She is a total snuggle bunny and one of the sweetest kindest dogs I have had here. MERLEN
Merlen is such a great little dog. His color is amazing, sort of a
blue/black merle . I am wondering if he could have some of the toy Aussie in him. He is sweet, loves everyone, good with dogs but likes to
be the only one in your lap. He is smart, athletic and just wants to be
with you . He has been neutered and utd on vaccines. Very housebroken. Merlen
was a stray and found with his "wife" living outside. How anyone could
not go looking for this wonderful little dog is beyond me.

SUGAR and TULIP
 
Sugar I the white one) is a neutered male La Mancha and Tulip the black and white one is a female La Mancha. I rescued them so they wouldn't be sent to the local auction for meat. They are both very friendly very good around people, horses, dogs. Tulip can not be bred and they should not be in with other goats as they are positive to CAE. They are both very healthy themselves, utd on shots had their hooves trimmed etc. They are great pets and LOVE animal crackers. If you shake the can I keep the crackers in they both come running. I will only adopt them together. Only will be adopted to a home where they will be pets. If you are interested in adopting them fill out whatever is applicable on my dog
